SNAP Cuts Are Coming β€” We’re Taking Action
Trent-Towne Market is proud to launch our SNAP-Alternative Food Access Program in response to the upcoming federal SNAP cuts taking effect November 1.
This community-powered model ensures Trenton families continue to access fresh, local produce and meats, while supporting local farms and advancing food justice.
Here’s how it works:
Local institutions (like birthing centers, hospitals & foundations) fund Trent-Towne Market
We buy produce + meats directly from nearby farmers
Residents receive produce boxes or food credits to shop
Farmers get guaranteed bi-weekly payment
Families get healthy food access with dignity
Why It Matters:
Keeps food on the table for families affected by SNAP cuts
Boosts the local food economy
Builds long-term community health partnerships
Centers Trenton-led food ownership & resilience
Trent-Towne is more than a farmers marketβ€”we’re a community hub for all.
Together, we’re planting seeds of change
