Counseling and Support Services Director
Salary: $90,000 – $95,000
Hours: 35 hours per week
The Counseling and Support Services Director provides leadership, oversight, and vision for all non-residential counseling and support programs serving survivors of domestic and sexual violence. This role ensures high quality, trauma informed, and survivor centered services while supporting staff, strengthening programs, and aligning services with the agency’s mission and strategic goals. The Counseling and Support Services Director supervises counseling and advocacy staff, supports program development and evaluation, manages program related grants and budgets, maintains community partnerships, and serves as a member of the agency’s senior leadership team.
Supervisory Duty: Counselor Advocates, Youth Counselor Advocates, DVL to DCP&P, Court Advocates, Clinical Resource Specialist, Executive Office Manager.
Principal Responsibilities:
Program Leadership and Oversight
- Provides overall leadership and direction for non-residential counseling and support programs
- Ensures services are trauma informed, culturally responsive, and aligned with best practices and funding requirements
- Develops, implements, and evaluates program policies, procedures, and service delivery models
- Monitors program outcomes and uses data to guide continuous improvement
Staff Supervision and Development
- Recruits, hires, trains, supervises, and evaluates counseling and advocacy staff
- Provides regular clinical and administrative supervision
- Supports staff professional growth, training, and wellness
- Promotes a collaborative, supportive, and accountable team culture
Direct Service
- Maintains a clinical caseload of up to 10 clients, as needed
- Provides individual counseling, crisis intervention, and advocacy
- Ensures appropriate referrals and coordination of care
Program Development and Community Engagement
- Identifies emerging community needs and opportunities for program growth
- Represents the agency through public speaking, training, and community presentations
- Builds and maintains partnerships with community providers, coalitions, and systems partners
- Collaborates on prevention, education, and outreach initiatives
Administration, Grants, and Budget Management
- Participates in agency-wide strategic planning and leadership decision making
- Assists with grant development, reporting, and compliance related to counseling programs
- Monitors program budgets and expenditures in collaboration with agency leadership
Required Education & Experience:
- Master’s level Licensed Professional Counselor or Licensed Clinical Social Worker
- Minimum 5 years of experience providing direct service preferably in domestic violence or trauma programs
- Minimum 3 years of supervisory or leadership experience
- Demonstrated knowledge of domestic violence dynamics, trauma-informed care, and survivor empowerment
- Experience with program planning, evaluation, and grant management
- Strong knowledge of community resources and service systems
Required Skills & Abilities:
- Proven leadership skills with ability to manage teams, implement change, and develop organizational capacity
- Program management experience including policy and procedure development and quality improvement
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work collaboratively across departments
- Understands DCF requirements, coalition standards, and domestic/sexual violence regulations
- Excellent communication skills for diverse stakeholder engagement
- Cultural competency to serve diverse survivor populations
- Technology proficiency in database management and reporting systems
- Bilingual in Spanish and English, preferred
- Experience with nonprofit strategic planning and organizational development, preferred
- Knowledge of trauma-informed organizational practices

Domestic Violence Liaison to the Division of Child Protection and Permanency (DCP&P)
Salary: $60,000 – $62,000
Hours: 35 hours per week
The Domestic Violence Specialist serves as Younity’s liaison to the Mercer County Division of Child Protection and Permanency (DCP&P), providing specialized domestic violence expertise to support families experiencing the co-occurrence of domestic violence and child abuse.
Working collaboratively with DCP&P staff, the Domestic Violence Specialist conducts assessments, assists with safety planning, provides advocacy and referrals, facilitates domestic violence education, and offers consultation and training to child welfare professionals. This position promotes coordinated, trauma-informed responses that enhance the safety and well-being of survivors and their children while strengthening community partnerships.
Principal Responsibilities:
- Partner with DCP&P caseworkers to conduct domestic violence assessments and identify safety concerns.
- Develop individualized safety plans for survivors and their children.
- Provide advocacy, referrals, and connections to community resources that promote safety and long-term stability.
- Participate in office and home visits with DCP&P staff, as appropriate.
- Facilitate the Safe Mothers Curriculum and other domestic violence education for DCP&P-referred clients.
- Provide consultation, education, and training to DCP&P staff regarding the intersection of domestic violence and child abuse.
- Collaborate with community partners, service providers, and legal systems to coordinate support for families.
- Maintain timely, accurate documentation and activity records in accordance with agency and DCP&P requirements.
Required Education & Experience:
- Master’s degree in social work, counseling, or a related field (required).
- Strong knowledge of domestic violence dynamics and experience working with survivors.
- Familiarity with child welfare systems and community resources; experience working in Mercer County preferred.
Required Skills & Abilities:
- Exceptional communication, advocacy, and interpersonal skills. Spanish-speaking candidates are strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in high-stress environments and manage complex cases with attention to detail and timelines.
- Proficient computer and data analysis skills with the ability to learn new software.

Bilingual Counselor Advocate
Salary: $60,000-$62,000/annually depending on experience
Hours: 35 hours per week
The Bilingual Counselor Advocate provides individual and group counseling, advocacy, case management, referrals, and court accompaniment, as needed, to victim-survivors of domestic violence and sexual violence and their family members. Services are provided to all clients. The role also supports community education and outreach as needed.
Principal Responsibilities:
- Provides individual and group counseling to victim survivors of DV/SV and their families in Spanish and English.
- Maintains a caseload of 25-27 clients.
- Provides advocacy for clients at court, welfare, and with other community agencies.
- Provides systems advocacy to identify community-based support for victim/survivors and their families.
- Provides education, information, referrals, and education to clients, other professionals, and to the general public.
- Completes and maintains agency forms and documentation.
- Performs other duties as necessary.
Required Education & Experience:
- Master’s Degree in Social Work, Psychology, or related field, or Bachelor’s with 4 years of related experience.
- Knowledge of community resources including the legal system in Mercer County.
- Public speaking.
Required Skills & Abilities:
- Must be fluent in Spanish.
- Exceptional communication, advocacy, and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in high-stress environments and manage complex cases with attention to detail and timelines.
- Proficient computer and data analysis skills with the ability to learn new software.
- Completion of 60-hour domestic violence and sexual violence training or certification of completion from another agency.
- Valid driver’s license.
