- 📣 Community Announcement | Participatory Budgeting (PB)
On Tuesday, February 3 at 5:30 PM, we will be presenting an introduction to Participatory Budgeting (PB) to the Trenton City Council.
Participatory Budgeting is a democratic process that gives residents a direct voice in deciding how public funds are spent. PB allows community members to propose ideas, develop projects, and vote on investments that reflect their real needs and priorities.
We are excited to begin introducing Participatory Budgeting to the Choice Neighborhood Zone (CNZ) and the City of Trenton, with a focus on how PB can advance:
* Food Justice
* Environmental Justice
* Community Beautification
* Resident-led solutions
📍 Who is this for?The Choice Neighborhood Zone includes residents living in and around the North/West Trenton / Ingham Avenue area, including nearby blocks and surrounding neighborhoods connected to the Choice Neighborhood redevelopment area.(If you live near Ingham Ave or the surrounding North/West Trenton community, this process is for you.)
We invite community members to join us at the City Council meeting to learn:
* What Participatory Budgeting is
* How it can benefit the Choice Neighborhood Zone
* How residents can get involved and help shape decisions that impact their neighborhood
