Join historian Guy Weston for a look at one of New Jersey's most significant historical communities. Established in the 1820s Timbuctoo, a free black settlement, grew in part from the influence of Quaker abolitionists and endured for nearly two hundred years. Weston will explore its origins, legacy and place within the broader history of slavery in New Jersey. The event takes place Thursday, August 13 at 7pm. Register at HamiltonNJPL.org/events.
