This April, YWCA Princeton invites you to take action for racial justice through Steps 4 Equity, a month-long initiative designed to engage, educate, and empower our community. This event coincides with our annual Stand Against Racism event offering multiple ways to participate and make a meaningful impact. Scroll down to see how you can join us for one or for all!
The YWCA Racial Justice Challenge helps you build social justice habits focused on race, power, privilege, and leadership, while also fostering a sense of community. It encourages reflection, social responsibility, and collective action to dismantle racism and other forms of discrimination. By engaging in this challenge with others, you’ll create a supportive network for learning and growth, working together to make meaningful change.
This year’s theme, "Equity in Action: Exposing Myths and Redefining Justice," pushes us to challenge false narratives, move beyond awareness, and take action to create justice, dignity, and opportunity for all. Participants will dedicate time each day to explore topics related to systemic racism, social justice, and equity through articles, videos, podcasts, and books. Use what you learn to confront harmful myths and make a positive impact in your community.
