📣 SNAP Cuts Are Coming — We’re Taking Action
🛒 Trent-Towne Market is proud to launch our SNAP-Alternative Food Access Program in response to the upcoming federal SNAP cuts taking effect November 1.
This community-powered model ensures Trenton families continue to access fresh, local produce and meats, while supporting local farms and advancing food justice.
Here’s how it works:
🤝 Local institutions (like birthing centers, hospitals & foundations) fund Trent-Towne Market
🍎 We buy produce + meats directly from nearby farmers
📦 Residents receive produce boxes or food credits to shop
🚜 Farmers get guaranteed bi-weekly payment
🌱 Families get healthy food access with dignity
🧩 Why It Matters:
✅ Keeps food on the table for families affected by SNAP cuts
✅ Boosts the local food economy
✅ Builds long-term community health partnerships
✅ Centers Trenton-led food ownership & resilience
Trent-Towne is more than a farmers market—we’re a community hub for all.
Together, we’re planting seeds of change 🌻
