Participatory Budgeting (PB) Tour

16 W Ingham Ave North Trenton

Saturday, April 25 2026 from 07:30 PM to 08:30 PM

I wanted to personally invite you to join us on April 25th at Trent-Towne Market as we host our Participatory Budgeting (PB) Tour stop in partnership with Prepare 2 Vote.

This will be a meaningful moment for us. We will be walking the community through a mock PB voting demonstration, giving residents the opportunity to experience what it looks like to have real decision-making power over resources in their neighborhood.

To bring this to life, we’ve created:

  • community narrative grounded in the realities of the Choice Neighborhood—highlighting challenges such as food insecurity, low homeownership, and economic barriers
  • mock ballot that allows participants to vote across three focus areas:
    1. Food Insecurity
    2. Environmental Justice
    3. Community Beautification

Each category includes community-driven project ideas that reflect what we believe residents would prioritize based on the data and lived experience in the neighborhood.

The goal is simple:
To help people not just hear about Participatory Budgeting—but to feel it, understand it, and see themselves in it.

Your presence would mean a great deal. As members of the Advisory Committee, your engagement helps validate this work and shows the community that this process is something real, something supported, and something worth investing in.
