How do we nurture the next generation of Trentonians to happy and successful futures? Join us for the next Kiwanis Club of Trenton program at noon on October 7, 2026 to learn how UrbanPromise Trenton is teaching Trenton’s children the skills necessary for academic achievement, life management, spiritual growth, and Christian leadership – a recipe for future success. Sean McFadden will discuss the programs being offered by UrbanPromise Trenton, as well as the outcomes, including a 100% graduation rate amongst participating youth. As Executive Director, McFadden oversees UrbanPromise Trenton’s sequential programming which supports student learning. Through partnerships with over 60 community groups, UrbanPromise Trenton helps youth reach their academic potential, surrounding them with an intentional circle of support that prepares each child to become thoughtful, engaged citizens in their communities.
Founded in 1918, the Kiwanis Club’s programs have supported children’s services, community events and, since 1955, the Kiwanis Camp Fund, which has raised over $2 million for summer camp experiences for Trenton children. In addition to the ongoing Camp Fund, Kiwanis initiatives have included Heritage Week, Trenton’s celebration of America’s 250th birthday, as well as “Vision Trenton,” a collaborative community effort to stimulate economic redevelopment by promoting Trenton’s extensive historic assets.
