As National President, it is with much joy and pride that I extend greetings on behalf of Top Ladies of Distinction, Inc. Since 1964, TLOD has been serving “Youth and Adults”. This year, we celebrate 57 years of service, and we look towards our future with faith. God has been good to us all these years, and as the ancestors would say, God has brought us from a mighty long ways.

Our theme really speaks to who we are and where we have come: “Celebrating our Legacy: Transforming Lives and Making a difference……. One Teen, One Lady and One Community at a Time (TLC).” TLOD has a rich history and a solid foundation of rendering service.

Service is what we do….“TOPS” in service is truly our watchword.

Top Ladies have been on the front lines of almost every city and state where chapters are located by being a voice for those who had no voice, and the eyes, hands and mouth of those whom have been overlooked.

Join us… as we are excited about what we have accomplished over the past 57 years. For example, to date, we have served the community in over a million hours in volunteer service. Our success didn’t just ”happen”, it has come from committed Ladies, Teens, and Lords carrying out our five programmatic thrusts: Status of Women (SOW), Senior Citizens, Community Beautification, Community Partnerships and Top Teens of America (TTA). Additionally, TLOD advocates in an exemplary manner for our national projects, such as; United Negro College Fund (UNCF), Sickle Cell Disease Association of America (SCDAA), National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP), and an affiliate of the National Council of Negro Women, Inc. (NCNW); a mission we value as we tell our TLOD story.

In your perusal of this site, it will enlighten you on who we are, how we came to be and what we do. For 57 years, Top Ladies of Distinction, Inc. has improved the lives of “youth and adults” everywhere. It is our hope that you will learn more about what has sustained us for 57 years and counting….. We invite you to visit us often.

I am here and ready to serve,
Lady Sharon J. Beard
National President
